K screamed and I came running. A pair of goats was there, in the house. They had made their way through the garage, up the stairs, and into the room behind her. Without even knocking. Kids these days.

“Elephants have right of way. Do not obstruct.”

People naturally avoid the elephant in the room. Apparently, we don’t have the same sense when we meet one in the road.

“Um, guys? That buzzing isn’t the sound of heavy machinery…”

Happy Mother’s Day!

Here’s a photo “bouquet” of alstroemerias growing around us. The Himalayan hills are crowned with blooms and supply the country with many flowers.

Elephant ears. One of these leaves when cooked gives about a tablespoon of greens.

Hanging out near our door all day was this 5-inch mantis (meaning “prophet” in Greek).

We spied this momma lizard in the garden. You can see her before she buried her eggs and after.

Indigenous pest control.
